will need some furniture paste wax (do not use automotive paste
wax), a socket wrench with a 7/16" socket, a 7/16" combination end wrench
(or a 7/16" box end and 7/16" open end wrench) and a tape measure.
The paste wax is used to lubricate the screws and the stationary slides, and as a protective coating on your ‘Nomic Station once it is assembled. Your ‘Nomic Station was shipped un-waxed as the parts are less slippery and easier to handle this way. Apply paste wax for a silky smooth finish. Your desk may have shipped with some wax and a Scotch Brite pad you may use to apply it. Do not use "furniture polish" or "furniture cleaners". Do not use products that promise to "feed" or "rejuvenate" your furniture. Most of your desk will be assembled with screws. Under the heads of these screws you will use washers. Make sure these washers are under the head of their screws, and not between the parts being assembled. |
